Erreur 1292 : Truncated incorrect time value avec AVG(time)

Bonjour,

j'ai un problème dont je n'arrive pas à déterminer l'origine. J'ai une liste de valeurs de type 'Time' dont je veux faire la moyenne, et selon les valeurs que j'inclus ou pas dans la requête, j'obtiens une erreur ou non ..... je n'en comprends pas la raison.

Avec le critère Time('10:00:00') dans la sous-requête MoyTps l'erreur est générée. Avec le critère Time('22:00:00') il n'y a pas d'erreur, or c'est bien le critère 10 dont je veux obtenir les résultats.

La documentation de MySQL 5.1 précise que les fonctions SUM et AVG ne fonctionnent pas avec les valeurs temporelles, et propose une solution de contournement :

The SUM() and AVG() aggregate functions do not work with temporal values. (They convert the values to numbers, losing everything after the first nonnumeric character.) To work around this problem, you can convert to numeric units, perform the aggregate operation, and convert back to a temporal value.

Bon, je viens de trouver la solution comme un grand

Je n'étais pas habitué au type TIME, dont le format est différent des types date/heure habituels que je connais dans les autres SGBD et qui me surprends un peu à vrai dire .....

Affiché en DECIMAL, 10:23:59 est noté 102359.0
Ce qui fait que la méthode AVG calculant sur des types décimaux faisait une moyenne qui ne correspondait à rien, puisque le type TIME n'est pas un type DECIMAL contenant le nombre de secondes depuis le 1er janvier 1980 par exemple, ou encore la date en partie entière, et les 24ème d'heure en partie décimale ... En résultat, j'essayais alors parfois de convertir 102372.0 en TIME (10:23:72.000) ce qui échoue évidemment.

J'ai donc modifié la requête de la façon suivante en convertissant les durées en seconde pour faire la moyenne :

[EDIT 2] Il faut également utiliser la fonction de conversion SEC_TO_TIME pour convertir dans l'autre sens comme ced me l'indique et non faire un cast comme dans ma correction proposée pour les mêmes raisons.
